Twins place Brent Rooker on paternity list

Kyle Barraclough recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

 

NEW YORK, NY – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Brent Rooker on the Paternity List.

 

Rooker and his wife, Allie, are awaiting the arrival of their first child (a girl) in Minneapolis. The 26-year-old has appeared in 44 games for the Twins this season, hitting .203 (31-for-153) with eight doubles, seven home runs, 13 RBI, 21 runs scored and 12 walks.

 

To replace Rooker on the 28-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Kyle Barraclough from Triple-A St. Paul. Barraclough has appeared in 21 games for the Saints this season, going 4-1 with a 2.49 ERA (25.1 IP, 7 ER), 10 walks, 38 strikeouts and a 0.99 WHIP. The right-hander also appeared in three games with the Twins between August 20-26, allowing four runs on four hits in 3.1 innings pitched, with two walks and four strikeouts.
