WINNIPEG JETS NOTES:
The Winnipeg Jets continue a three-game road trip on Saturday afternoon when they visit the Arizona Coyotes. The Jets fell 5-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night to start the road trip. Winnipeg finishes the trip against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday. After the trip, Winnipeg returns home for a five-game homestand, which begins on Thursday against the Nashville Predators.
Winless in Three
The Jets are winless in their past three games but have points in two of the three contests… Winnipeg hadn’t dropped three consecutive games since a five-game winless streak from Feb. 22-Mar. 3 last season.
Winnipeg plays seven of their 13 games in November against the Central Division, the first of which is Saturday against Arizona… The Jets went 18-8-0 against their Central Division counterparts during the last season… Winnipeg has won 14 of their past 20 games against Central Division teams… Winnipeg went 14-6-6 against their Central Division rivals in 2021-22 and have a winning record in each of the past six seasons in which the Jets have been in the Central Division… Josh Morrissey (6G, 22A) led the Jets in scoring against their divisional foes last season with 28 points in 25 games.
Saturday marks the second of 11 afternoon games the Jets have on their schedule this season… Winnipeg won their first afternoon game 6-4 against the Florida Panthers on Oct. 14… The Jets went 4-2-0 in afternoon games last season… The 11 matinees on Winnipeg’s schedule this season is tied for the second-most in franchise history, one behind the 12 afternoon games the team played in 2019-20… Eight of the 11 matinees after on Saturday afternoons… Mark Scheifele leads current Jets players in career scoring in afternoon games with 58 points (21G, 37A) in 81 games, while Kyle Connor also has 19 goals and is second with 40 points in 49 games.
The Jets are 2-2-1 on the road this season and are in the midst of playing five of six games on the road… Kyle Connor leads the Jets with five points (3G, 2A) in five road games this season… Alex Iafallo (1G, 3A), Mason Appleton (1G, 3A), Adam Lowry (2G, 2A), Josh Morrissey (1G, 3A), and Nino Niederreiter (2G, 2A) each have four points in five road games… The Jets went 20-20-1 on the road last season… Kyle Connor (13G, 21A) led the Jets in scoring on the road with 34 points in 41 games… Mark Scheifele had a team-leading 20 goals, which marked the 11th time in franchise history a player has reached 20 goals on the road in a season.
Jets vs. ARI Notes
Winnipeg and Arizona play each other four times this season, including twice in a span of two weeks… The Jets host the Coyotes on Nov. 18 and Feb. 25, while Winnipeg makes another trip to Mullett Arena on Jan. 7.
Dating back to 2011, the Jets are 22-6-0 against Arizona in 28 games… Winnipeg hasn’t lost consecutive games to the Coyotes during that span and are currently on a six-game winning streak… The Jets have limited Arizona to one goal in five of the past seven contests… The Jets haven’t allowed a power play goal against in eight consecutive games against the Coyotes, going 13-for-13 on the penalty kill.

The Coyotes have won three of their first four home games for the first time since 2019-20, and the Jets are 2-2-1 on the road. • Matias Maccelli is amidst the longest point streak of his career after his assist against Montreal and looks to extend the streak to eight with a point against the Jets. His linemate Lawson Crouse is on a point streak himself, at four games and counting. • With a win against the Jets, Arizona would have its best five-game start at home since 2013-14 when the Coyotes won nine of their first ten home games.
