The Winnipeg Jets play the first game of a weekend home-and-home set with the Edmonton Oilers on Friday when they travel to Rogers Place. The return match is on Saturday at Canada Life Centre. Winnipeg is coming off a winless three-game homestand, which ended with a 6-5 shootout loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. After this weekend’s games, the Jets host the San Jose Sharks on Monday and Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.

Recap: The Jets held three two-goal leads and never trailed in regulation, but lost 6-5 in a shootout to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night. Josh Morrissey led the Jets with a four-point night (2G, 2A), while Kevin Stenlund also scored twice. Dylan DeMelo and Mark Scheifele each had a pair of assists. Morrissey also paced the Jets with six shots and five blocked shots.
