LAST GAME
The Hurricanes suffered a 3-2 loss against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena, ending their road point streak at six games. Martin Necas and Jordan Staal scored for Carolina, while Brent Burns, Jaccob Slavin and Teuvo Teravainen each tallied an assist. Frederik Andersen made 17 saves in net.

HURRICANES vs. COYOTES SERIES NOTES
— The Hurricanes are facing the Coyotes in the second and final meeting between the teams during the 2022-23 season.
— Carolina and Arizona are meeting for the 86th time in their regular-season histories. Carolina holds a 44-31-8-2 overall record, including
23-15-2-2 road record and a 19-12-2-2 record since relocation.
— The Coyotes lead the season series 1-0-0 in 2022-23 (Hurricanes: 0-1-0), but Carolina has earned a 12-2-2 record in the teams’ last 16 meetings dating back to 12/14/13.
— The Hurricanes suffered a 4-0 loss against the Coyotes at PNC Arena on 11/23. Pyotr Kochetkov made 23 saves in net.
— Sebastian Aho has recorded eight points (4g, 4a) in 11 career regular-season games against Arizona.
— Shayne Gostisbehere was acquired from Arizona on 3/1 in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. He tallied 82 points (24g, 58a) in 134 games with the Coyotes from 2021-23.
— Jordan Martinook was selected by Phoenix in the second round (58th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft and played 247 games for the Coyotes from 2014-18, posting 65 points (26g, 39a). He was acquired from Arizona on 5/3/19 along with a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft (Luke Henman) in exchange for Marcus Kruger and a third-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft (Ty Emberson).
— Antti Raanta earned a 46-42-11 record, 2.57 goals-against average, .921 save percentage and five shutouts in 104 games with Arizona from 2017-21. He has also posted a 5-0-1 record, 1.98 goals-against average and .936 save percentage in six career regular-season games against the Coyotes.
— Derek Stepan tallied 119 points (39g, 80a) in 224 games with Arizona from 2017-20.
— Jaccob Slavin has registered 10 points (1g, 9a) in 13 career regular-season games against the Coyotes.
— Paul Stastny has earned 31 points (11g, 20a) in 46 career regular-season games against Arizona.

ROAD WARRIORS
Wednesday’s loss at VGK (3/1) ended Carolina’s six-game road point streak and five-game road win streak (1/12-2/14), which was tied for the longest road win streak in team history (since relocation). Despite the loss, the Hurricanes have earned a point in 18 of their last 20 road games (11/14-3/1: 13-2-5, .775), and their .813 road points percentage since 11/29 (12-2-2) trails only BOS (17-3-2, .818) for the league lead over that span.
