GOLDEN KNIGHTS LAST GAME RECAP
March 5 – Vegas Golden Knights 4, Montreal Canadiens 3
The Vegas Golden Knights (38-19-6) closed out their homestand with a 4-3 victory against the Montreal Canadiens (26-33-4) on Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Arena. Shea Theodore opened scoring as he snuck a shot past Jake Allen to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. With 20 seconds to go in the period, Ivan Barbashev chipped one home to give Vegas a 2-0 advantage. In the middle period, Reilly Smith potted his 21st goal of the season to extend the home team’s lead to 3-0. Michael Matheson got Montreal on the board early in the third, but Barbashev scored again to make it a 4-1 game. The Canadiens score twice midway through the period, but Jonathan Quick held off the comeback bid as Vegas earned the 4-3 victory.

Against the Panthers
The contest between the Golden Knights and the Panthers on Tuesday is the second of and final of the season. The last time these teams met, Vegas came away with a 4-2 comeback win at T-Mobile Arena. Nicolas Roy scored in the second period to put Vegas on the board but the Golden Knights trailed entering into the final period. Vegas was able to erase the 2-1 deficit in the third period with goals from Jack Eichel, William Carrier, and William Karlsson to seal the victory for the home team. The Golden Knights hold a 6-2- 1 record against the Panthers and will look to sweep the regular season series for the second time in series history.
