TONIGHT’S OPPONENT:
San Jose heads to Vegas for a quick one-game road trip against a divisional foe. This is San Jose and Vegas’ third meting this season, with each side earning a win on the road. Vegas defeated San Jose, 4-2, at SAP Center at San Jose on Oct. 25. Shea Theodore (1g, 1a) led all skaters in points and Adin Hill saved 29 of 31 shots. The Sharks earned their second consecutive win in Vegas with a 5-2 decision on Nov. 15. Alexander Barabanov (0g, 2a), Logan Couture (1g, 1a) and Erik Karlsson (0g, 2a) led all skaters in scoring. San Jose scored four third period goals in the game.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS LAST GAME RECAP
February 12 – Vegas Golden Knights 7, Anaheim Ducks 2
The Vegas Golden Knights (32-18-4) picked up their third consecutive win as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks (17-30-6), 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at T-Mobile Arena. Just over two minutes into the game, Paul Cotter found the roof of the net to put Vegas ahead, 1-0. Midway through the second, Keegan Kolesar set up Brett Howden to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead. Frank Vatrano scored late in the frame and the home team carried a 2-1 lead into the third. In the final frame, Shea Theodore, Phil Kessel, and Jack Eichel scored to extend the Vegas advantage to 5-1. Isac Lundestrom tacked on a goal to make it 5-2, but Michael Amadio and William Carrier scored late goals to give the Golden Knights the 7-2 victory.

Against the Sharks
This is the third time the Golden Knights and Sharks have met this season and the final match at T-Mobile Arena until Vegas travels to San Jose in March. The last time these two teams met, Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault each scored to give the Golden Knights a 2-1 advantage entering the third period but, Vegas gave up four goals in the final frame to suffer a 5-2 loss. The Golden Knights hold an all-time record of 19-2-4 in 25 meetings with San Jose, their best record against any opponent outside of Seattle (5-1-0). At home Vegas holds a 9-2-2 all-time advantage and is 6-1-2 in the last nine meetings. Kessel leads in career points against the Sharks with 35 (20G, 15A) in 33 games played.
