In the second period, Jack Eichel buried his 18th goal of the season to give Vegas a 2-1 lead. The Golden Knights held the lead until the final minute of regulation when Tyler Johnson’s power-play goal tied the game and sent it to overtime. After overtime passed without a goal, Johnson netted the only goal in the shootout to give Chicago the 3-2 win.

Despite seeing their five-game win streak come to an end on Tuesday against the Blackhawks, the Golden Knights currently hold on to a seven-game point streak at 5-0-2 entering their game with the Flames on Thursday. The previous win streak was the second-longest for Vegas this year, behind their nine-game streak early in the season.
