May 12 – Vegas Golden Knights 4, Edmonton Oilers 3
The Vegas Golden Knights earned their third win of the second round as they defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 4-3, on Friday night at TMobile Arena and Vegas now leads the series, 3-2. The Oilers got on the board first as Connor McDavid found the back of the net on an early power play. Just 50 seconds later, Jack Eichel converted on a loose puck in front of the Edmonton net to tie the game at 1-1. Zach Hyman added a power-play goal midway through the frame and the Oilers took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. Vegas exploded for three goals in 1:29 as Mark Stone, Reilly Smith, and Nicolas Hague all found the back of the net in quick succession. The Golden Knights took the 4-2 lead into the third period, but McDavid struck again early in the frame to cut the advantage to 4-3. Vegas locked Edmonton out in the final minutes to claim the 4-3 victory and move to just one win away from reaching the Western Conference Final.

VGK/EDM – Regular Season Recap
The Vegas Golden Knights held a 1-2-1 record against the Edmonton Oilers in the 2022-23 regular season. In both of the first two matchups of the season, Vegas fell 4-3 to Edmonton, as the first contest saw a two-goal performance from Mark Stone send the Golden Knights into overtime where Connor McDavid gave Edmonton the game-winner.
