LOS ANGELES DODGERS NOTES:

TONIGHT’S STARTER at BREWERS: RHP NOAH SYNDERGAARD (1-3, 6.32 ERA in 6 GS)
2023 SEASON NOTES:

• Earned his first win as a Dodger in his last start April 30, firing 5.1 innings, giving up eight hits and three runs…he is 1-3 on the season with a 6.32 ERA with 21 strikeouts

LAUER AT A GLANCE: Eric Lauer, 27, will be making his seventh start…..Lauer last started last Wednesday at Colorado in a 7-1 loss (4.2ip, 4h, 4r, 0er, 4bb, 6k, 84 pitches)….. he has 2 quality starts…..opponents are batting .277 (33-for-119, 6hr)…..Lauer was acquired from San Diego, along with INF Luis Urías and a player to be named or cash, in exchange for RHP Zach Davies and OF Trent Grisham on 11/27/19 (trade completed on 5/27/20 – cash).

LAST SEASON: Lauer went 11-7 with a 3.69 ERA in 29 starts last season…..the team went 17-12 in his starts…..he posted career highs in starts (29-tied), wins (11), innings pitched (158.2), strikeouts (157) and quality starts (13)…..he held opponents to a .228 batting average…..Lauer was on the 15-day injured list from 9/10-9/22 with left elbow inflammation…..he came back to end the season with 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings.
