Brewers sign Left-Handed Pitcher Justin Wilson

Veteran Reliever Agrees to One-Year Contract With Club Option

Phoenix – Justin Wilson, a left-handed pitcher, has been signed by the Milwaukee Brewers to a one-year contract with a club option for 2024. Jason Alexander, a right-handed pitcher, was placed on the 60-day injured list with a strained right rotator cuff in order to make room on the 40-man roster. Matt Arnold, Senior Vice President and General Manager, made the announcement.

In 527 relief appearances over 11 seasons with Pittsburgh (2012-2014), New York-AL (2015-2021), Detroit (2016-17), Chicago-NL (2017-18), New York-NL (2019-20), and Cincinnati, 35-year-old Wilson has a record of 33-24, a 3.41 ERA, and 18 saves.

Pittsburgh took the Anaheim, California native out of Fresno State in the fifth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.
