Twins place Max Kepler on 10-day injured list

Trevor Larnach recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Max Kepler on the 10-day Injured List with a left hamstring strain.

Kepler, 30, has hit .212 (21-for-99) with five doubles, six home runs, 14 RBI, 10 walks and 17 runs scored in 28 games for the Twins this season. This is his second stint on the Injured List this year, after also missing time from April 8-April 15 with right patellar tendinitis.

To replace Kepler on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled outfielder Trevor Larnach from Triple-A St. Paul. Larnach has gone 7-for-14 with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI, three walks and five runs scored in four games for the Saints, after being optioned to St. Paul on May 5. This is his second stint with the Twins this season (previously, Opening Day-May 5) and he has hit .221 (23-for-104) with three doubles, one triple, three home runs, 19 RBI, 18 walks and 13 runs scored in 31 major league games this year.
