Twins place Trevor Larnach on 10-day injured list

Matt Wallner recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Trevor Larnach on the 10-day Injured List (retroactive to May 22) with pneumonia.

Larnach, 26, has hit .215 (28-for-130) with four doubles, two triples, five home runs, 27 RBI, 20 walks and 18 runs scored in 39 games across two stints with the Twins this season.

To replace Larnach on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled outfielder Matt Wallner from Triple-A St. Paul. Wallner went 1-for-4 with one run scored in the Saints’ 6-1 loss to the Omaha Storm Chasers at CHS Field earlier today. This is his second stint in the majors this season, after going 0-for-8 with one walk, two hit-by-pitches and one run scored in six games with Minnesota from April 8-15. The 25-year-old has also hit .270 (30-for-111) with nine doubles, one triple, four home runs, 16 RBI, 19 walks, 16 runs scored and an .865 OPS in 31 games for St. Paul this season.
