Three Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that three Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Minnesota Twins Minor League pitcher Melvi Acosta, who is currently on the roster of the Triple-A St. Paul Saints of the International League, has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

Chicago White Sox Minor League pitcher Jendersson Caraballo, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League White Sox, has received a 60-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

Milwaukee Brewers Minor League pitcher Braudin Ciprian, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Brewers, has received a 60-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Program.

The suspension of Acosta is effective immediately, while the suspensions of Caraballo and Ciprian will be effective at the start of their respective 2023 seasons.
