Seattle/Cleveland complete trade

RHP Damon Casetta-Stubbs has been named the PTBNL from the Seattle Mariners to complete the June 10th trade that sent Jake Bauers to Seattle. A former 11th round draft pick in the 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft from the King’s Way Christian Schools in Vancouver, WA, Stubbs is 3-3 with a 6.42 ERA (29ER/40.2IP) while recording 58 strikeouts and 27 walks in 9 starts during 2021 with Low-A Modesto. He is currently tied for 12th in the Low-A West League. The 21 year-old right-hander started the 2019 campaign with Short-Season Everett and ascended to High-A Modesto, posting a 6-8 record and 5.17 ERA (67ER/116.2IP) over the course of the year. Across 3 seasons in Seattle’s Development System, Stubbs has compiled a career 9-13 record and 5.82 ERA (106ER/164.0IP) with a 1.44 WHIP.
