Revolution Receive $175,000 in General Allocation Money from Charlotte FC

New England receives GAM over two years in exchange for a 2023 International Roster Spot

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – In exchange for a spot on the 2023 International Roster, Charlotte FC gave the New England Revolution $75,000 in 2023 General Allocation Money (GAM) and $100,000 in 2024 GAM.

After Tuesday’s trade, the Revolution no longer have any International Roster Spots for the 2023 season. Carles Gil, a Revolution midfielder, received a Green Card from the United States, making him eligible for the MLS roster as a domestic player. Gustavo Bou, a Revolution forward, is still in Argentina and is expected to receive his Green Card soon.

On Saturday, February 18, Orlando City SC will serve as the Revolution’s final of five preseason matches. At 7:30 p.m. ET, the match at Exploria Stadium begins.

On Saturday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time, New England hosts Charlotte FC to begin the 2023 MLS Regular Season. On the TRANSACTION, you can watch all matches during the “MLS is Back” opening weekend for free: In exchange for a spot on the 2023 International Roster on February 14, 2023, Charlotte FC gives New England Revolution $75,000 in GAM for 2023 and $100,000 in GAM for 2024.
