BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today reinstated infielder/outfielder Christian Arroyo from the COVID-19 Related Injured List.
Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom made the announcement.
Arroyo, 27, was placed on the COVID-19 Related Injured list on June 15. He played in two rehab games for Triple-A Worcester, starting at designated hitter on Tuesday and shortstop on Wednesday. The right-handed hitter has played in 35 games for Boston this season, batting .187 (17-for-91) with three home runs and 10 RBI while appearing in 16 games in right field, eight at shortstop, six at second base, two at first base, and one at third base.
