Club selects right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz from Triple-A Worcester

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today placed right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish on the 15-day Injured List with a right forearm strain. To fill Danish’s spot on the active roster, the club selected right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz from Triple-A Worcester.

The Red Sox 40-man roster is at 40.

Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom made the announcement.

Danish, 27, appeared in last night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, allowing one run in 2.0 relief innings. The right-hander has posted a 4.02 ERA (14 ER/31.1 IP) in 26 relief appearances this season, 19 of which have been scoreless.

Feliz, 29, has posted a 3.28 ERA (9 ER/24.2 IP) in 18 appearances (three starts) for Worcester this season. The right-hander is 17-9 with a 5.33 ERA (146 ER/246.2 IP) in 227 major league outings (one start) for the Houston Astros (2015-17), Pittsburgh Pirates (2018-21), Cincinnati Reds (2021), Oakland A’s (2021), and Red Sox (2021). Feliz posted a 3.38 ERA (2 ER/5.1 IP) in four appearances for Boston last season.
