The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter on the 15-day injured list with a left neck strain.
Right-handed pitcher Osvaldo Bido has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to the 28-man active roster. Prior to being promoted back to the big leagues for the third time this season, Bido posted a 1.23 ERA (7.1ip/1er) in seven appearances during his most recent stint with Indianapolis.
Bido, who will wear uniform No. 70, made his big-league debut on June 14 against the Cubs after being promoted for the first time this season. He was also with the team from August 12-27.
In addition, right-handed pitcher Cody Bolton has been added to the Major League taxi squad.
