The Pittsburgh Pirates today claimed right-handed pitcher Eric Hanhold off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles.

The 28-year-old Hanhold made 10 relief appearances with the Orioles this past season, going 0-0 with a 6.97 ERA (10.1ip/8er), 13 hits allowed, three walks and six strikeouts.

He also spent a majority of the 2021 season with Triple-A Norfolk, where he went 1-1 with four saves, a 5.19 ERA (26.0ip/15er), 16 walks and 27 strikeouts in 25 relief appearances.

Hanhold was then claimed off waivers by Baltimore on September 16, 2019, and spent the 2020 season at Baltimoreā€™s alternate training site.
