Club exchanged arbitration salary figures with Eflin; Agreed to terms with all remaining pre-arbitration eligible players

The Phillies have agreed to terms on one-year contracts and avoided arbitration with left-hander José Alvarado and first baseman Rhys Hoskins. Additionally, the club has exchanged arbitration salary figures with right-hander Zach Eflin.

Alvarado, 26, went 7-1 with five saves, a 4.20 ERA (26 ER, 55.2 IP) and averaged 10.99 strikeouts per nine innings (68 SO) in 64 relief appearances last season, his first with the Phillies.

The 29-year-old Hoskins posted a .247/.334/.530 slash line with an .864 OPS, 29 doubles, 27 home runs, 71 RBI and 64 runs in 107 games in 2021. 

Eflin, 27, made 18 starts last year, going 4-7 with a 4.17 ERA (49 ER, 105.2 IP), 16 walks and 99 strikeouts.

The Phillies have also agreed to terms with all of their remaining pre-arbitration eligible players on one-year contracts.
