Packers-Cardinals Draws Viewership of 20.4 Million Across All Platforms

Viewership of 20.4 Million Across TV and Digital – Third Highest ‘Thursday Night Football’ Viewership in History of the FOX Package

 Average Minute Audience on All Digital Platforms, Including Amazon Prime Video, Hits 1.8 Million – Highest for an NFL Game on Record Excluding Super Bowls & OTT Exclusive Games

 

Last week’s Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum game featuring the Green Bay Packers’ 24-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals was seen by an average audience of 20.4 million across all platforms, including FOX, NFL Network, FOX Deportes, NFL digital, FOX Sports digital, Amazon Prime Video, Twitch and Yahoo Sports mobile properties – making it the third highest Thursday Night Football viewership in the history of the FOX package behind New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys in 2018 (22.2 million) and Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints on Christmas Day in 2020 (20.5 million).

The 20.4 million viewers for Packers-Cardinals across all platforms is up +67% versus last year’s Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers (12.2 million), and +44% versus the 2020 Thursday Night Football 11-game average (14.1 million).

Season-to-date, Thursday Night Football tri-cast games on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video are averaging 15.8 million viewers across all platforms – up +24% vs. the comparable point last season (12.7 million).

Digital streaming across Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, FOX Sports digital, NFL digital, Packers and Cardinals mobile properties, and Yahoo Sports mobile properties produced an average minute audience of 1.8 million – the highest digital AMA for an NFL game on record excluding Super Bowls and OTT exclusive games. Additionally, the average minute audience of 1.8 million for Packers-Cardinals is up +77% versus last year’s Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup (1.0 million) and up +71% versus the 2020 11-game average (1.1 million).

Amazon Prime Video and Twitch reached a total of 2.9 million combined viewers worldwide for the FOX NFL Thursday pregame show and Packers-Cardinals game. For the Packers-Cardinals game alone, 2.4 million worldwide viewers initiated a stream on Prime Video or Twitch. The average worldwide audience watching the Thursday Night Football game for at least 30 seconds on Prime Video or Twitch was 1.0 million.

The 2021 Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum season continues Thursday, November 4 when the Indianapolis Colts host the New York Jets at 8:20 PM ET on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video. Pregame coverage on NFL Network begins with TNF First Look at 3:00 PM ET, followed by NFL GameDay Kickoff at 6:00 PM ET. At 7:30 PM ETFOX NFL Thursday airs on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video.
