Oilers’ Erne Fined for Elbowing

NEW YORK – Edmonton Oilers forward Adam Erne has been fined $2,018.23, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Seattle Kraken forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare during NHL Game No. 239 in Edmonton on Wednesday, Nov. 15, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:54 of the third period. Erne was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
