THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
• Tonight’s matchup is the second of two games the Kraken will play against the Red Wings this season and the first time the teams are playing in Detroit this year.
• A win or an overtime loss would give the Kraken points in four consecutive games against Detroit. The team is 2-0-1 all-time against the Red Wings. The Red Wings are one of four teams that the Kraken have never lost to in regulation, the others being the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets and Ottawa Senators.

KILLING IT
• The Kraken have not allowed a power-play goal for seven consecutive games dating back to Feb. 14 at Winnipeg, going a perfect 15-for-15 during that span.
• If they were to remain perfect on the penalty kill tonight, it would match the franchise record for consecutive games without allowing a power-play goal against. The Kraken went a perfect 18-for-18 on the penalty kill during a franchise-best, eight-game stretch earlier this season from Jan. 16 to Feb. 7.
• Entering play Wednesday, the Kraken were one of only three teams (Toronto, Minnesota) in the NHL to remain perfect on the penalty kill since Feb. 14, the start of the team’s streak.
• Adam Larsson is leading all Seattle skaters in both total penalty kill time (170:38) and penalty kill time per game (2:51) this season.
• Among defensemen that have played at least 70 minutes on the penalty kill this season, Will Borgen was ranked 12th in the NHL with 5.34 power-play goals against per 60 entering play Wednesday.
