The Tampa Bay Lightning collected points for the fifth-straight game with an emphatic, 6-0 win over the San Jose Sharks Thursday night at AMALIE Arena…The Bolts improved to 4-2-2 on the season with a home record of 4-0-1…Brayden Point opened the scoring for a second-straight game when he took a pass from Mikhail Sergachev and patiently waited before firing a shot off the left post and past Mackenzie Blackwood for his second goal of the season with Nick Perbix recording the secondary assist just 1:41 into the contest…Mikey Eyssimont doubled the Lightning lead at the 6:03 mark of the first after Perbix sent a pass across the blue line to Calvin de Haan, who sifted a shot towards the net that was redirected home by Eyssimont for his second goal of the campaign…Earning a 5-on-3 power play late in the opening frame, Tampa Bay pushed the lead to 3-0 with 41.4 seconds remaining when Nikita Kucherov sent a pass across the zone to Steven Stamkos, who wired a wrist shot from the left circle under the right arm of Blackwood for his third goal of the season with Sergachev picking up the secondary helper…With just over 16 minutes remaining in the second period, Victor Hedman sent a stretch pass to the offensive blue line for Alex Barré-Boulet, who quickly dished a saucer pass over the stick of the SJS defender, allowing Brandon Hagel to skate in all alone and rip a shot over the glove of Blackwood, making it a 4-0 game with his fifth goal of the year…The Bolts extended the lead to 5-0 3:28 later when Hedman fed Stamkos, who had a one-timer blocked before finding Nick Paul alone in front, where the power forward made a move to the backhand and beat Blackwood for his fifth goal of the season…Luke Glendening scored his first goal as a member of the Lightning with 14:16 left in the third period when he redirected a shot from Conor Sheary as Darren Raddysh picked up the secondary assist…Jonas Johansson recorded a shutout for the second-straight game, stopping all 23 shots he faced to improve to 4-1-2 on the season.
