Game 65 – 3/7 – SJS 0 at COL 6…Colorado’s Alexandar Georgiev turned away all 13 shots faced as the San Jose Sharks fell, 6-0, Tuesday at Colorado. Derrick Pouliot made his Sharks debut, totaling four hits in 16:36 TOI. Marc-Edouard Vlasic and captain Logan Couture matched Pouliot’s game-high hit output. Nico Sturm made his return to Colorado, a year after helping the Avalanche win the Stanley Cup, registered two takeaways and one hit and went 11-for-16 at the faceoff dot in the tilt.

TONIGHT’S OPPONENT: ST. LOUIS BLUES
The Blues and Sharks wrap their season set with a Thursday matchup at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis. The Blues have won each of the first two meetings, a 5-3 decision in November and most recently a 6-3 final at SAP Center last Thursday, a game in which the Sharks jumped out to a 2-0 lead but could not hang on. St. Louis enters Thursday’s meeting on the heels of a 6-2 setback against the Arizona Coyotes. The Blues’ Pavel Buchnevich brings a six-game point streak (4g, 7a) into the game, including a four-assist outing against the Sharks on March 2. Jakub Vrana made his St. Louis debut Tuesday at Arizona, finishing the game with six shots on goal in 16:32 TOI.
PRIME PENALTY KILL…After going 4-for-5 shorthanded against Colorado on March 7, the Sharks boast the NHL’s fourth-best penalty kill, at 83.3-percent on the year. The Sharks have finished top-two in the NHL on the PK in two of the past three years, including second (85.2%) in 2021-22 and first (85.7%) in 2019-20.
