TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
Tonight, the New York Islanders host the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second of four matchups between the two clubs this season. The last time these teams met was December 27, 2022, when four Islanders tallied multi-point games, inlcuding Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee, who each scored two goals to help the Islanders earn a 5-1 victory at UBS Arena. The Islanders have collected points in six of their last seven home meetings with the Penguins, and they are 10-5-1 against Metropolitan Division opponents entering tonight’s game. They have captured points in six of their last seven games, but will look to snap a three-game winless streak tonight.
