NHL Preview: Ottawa Senators (27-26-4) at Montréal Canadiens (25-29-4)

OTTAWA SENATORS NOTES:

LAST GAME: Feb. 24, 4-0 loss at Carolina: Raanta made 32 saves to record his third shutout of the season as Ottawa suffered a 4-0 loss at PNC Arena. The blanking marked Ottawa’s third contest this season in which they failed to record a goal. Burns opened the scoring for the home side with his 12th goal of the season to move into sixth leaguewide for goals from a rearguard. Jarvis and Necas also found the back of the net for the Hurricanes before Skjei scored into an empty to give Carolina its 37th goal from a defenceman this season, tops in the NHL. Aho and Svechnikov both recorded two assist evenings. Talbot took the loss for Ottawa in turning aside 26 shots in what was his first start since Jan. 25 due to injury.
