CATS STATS
- Aaron Ekblad is slated to appear in his 600th NHL game tonight, becoming the second member of the 2014 NHL Draft class to reach the milestone, and the first Panthers blueliner to play in 600 games with the club.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Tonight’s game marks Florida’s second of a four-game road swing. Following games played Feb. 13, the Panthers 30 road games played were second only to Arizona’s 33. The Cats have earned at least a point in five of their past six road games (3-1-2) since Jan. 16. Their 34.4 shots on goal per game on the road rank second among NHL teams. Matthew Tkachuk leads Florida with 33 road points (13-20-33), tied for sixth-most among League skaters.
CATS AND BLUES
The Panthers face off against the Wild for the second and final time this season following St. Louis’ 5-4 OT win at FLA Live Arena on Nov. 26. Florida has earned a point in each of their past four meetings against St. Louis (2-0-2) since March 9, 2020. Matthew Tkachuk has amassed 18 points (4-14-18) over 15 career games against the Blues.
PK PROWESS
The Panthers have allowed just one power-play goal against over their past six games, killing of 18 of 19 penalties against since Jan. 27.
