Columbus snapped its four-game losing streak (0-2-2) with Thursday’s 4-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blue Jackets will play four of their next five games on the road (Nov. 4 at Washington, Nov. 6 at Florida, Nov. 11 at Detroit and Nov. 12 at NY Rangers). The Blue Jackets are also in a stretch of eight-of-10 games played against Eastern Conference teams from Oct. 26-Nov. 14. The only two games against the Western Conference during that stretch come against the Dallas Stars (Oct. 30 at Dallas, Nov. 9 at Columbus). The Capitals host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday at Capital One Arena for the first of three meetings between the teams this season. Saturday marks the fourth game of a five-game homestand (Oct. 27-Nov. 8; 2-1-0), which is tied for Washington’s longest homestand of the season (also Jan.3-Jan. 13). The Capitals are 31-13-1-6 all-time vs. Columbus and 7-1-1 in their last nine games against the Blue Jackets. Last season, the Capitals won the season series with Columbus 3-0-1. T.J.
