After playing a schedule heavy in-home games to date, the Blue Jackets will keep their travel bags packed over the next month. The club, which has collected points in a season-high five-straight road games (3-0-2), kicked off a stretch on Sunday of 12-of-15 games away from Nationwide Arena through the end of March. The schedule includes a season-long five-game road trip from March 14-21 with stops in California (San Jose, Los Angeles and Anaheim), Vegas and Washington. The lone home games during that stretch are March 3 (vs. Seattle), March 11 (vs. St. Louis) and March 24 (vs. NY Islanders).

COMEBACK JACKETS
The club picked up its ninth comeback victory of the season (four by multiple goal deficits) with a 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Feb. 16. CBJ have come-from-behind to win in four of their last seven victories after trailing 2-0 and 3-2 in a 5-3 win vs. San Jose (Jan. 21), 2-1 in a 3-2 OT win at Edmonton (Jan. 25), 2-0 in a 4-3 win at Toronto (Feb. 11) and 1-0 in the 3-1 win vs. Winnipeg. The team set a franchise record in 2021-22 by coming back at some point in a game in 23 of its 37 wins (6th in the NHL).

LAST GAME: March 2, 5-3 win at N.Y. Rangers: The Senators scored at least five goals for a fourth consecutive game to extend their winning streak to four games with a 5-3 win at Madison Square Garden. The victory marked the fifth time in the last six seasons in which the two teams played that Ottawa emerged with more wins in the season series. Brassard became the 10th skater to appear in a 1,000th career regular season game with the Senators while pacing Ottawa with two goals in the contest to become the seventh skater in league history to record multiple goals while skating in the milestone game. Giroux added a goal and two assists for a game-high three points to mark his 19th multi-point game of the season, tied for the second most by a player in their first year with Ottawa. Pinto moved into a tie for second in rookie goal scoring with his 16th of the year and Stützle added his third goal of the season against New York. Kreider (shorthanded), Trouba and Tarasenko scored for the Rangers. Talbot made 29 saves to earn the win for Ottawa while Halak turned aside 29 shots in taking the loss for the Rangers.
