The Panthers will complete their two-game season series tonight against the Blackhawks looking to even up the series after falling at United Center on Nov. 4, 5-2. The Cats own a 5-2-0 record over Chicago in seven matchups since April 29, 2021, and have won each of their past six meetings with the Blackhawks on home ice since Jan. 17, 2021. Over Chicago’s past six visits to Amerant Bank Arena, the Panthers have outscored the Hawks 28-14.
The Panthers earned their second consecutive come-from-behind overtime win Nov. 8 at WSH. Down 3-2 entering the third period, Evan Rodrigues scored to force overtime where Sam Reinhart tallied his second career OT winner 15 seconds into the extra frame, the fastest OT goal in franchise history. On Nov. 6 vs. CBJ, Florida fell behind 4-3 in the third period before Nick Cousins tallied his second third-period goal of the season with 57 seconds remaining. In OT, Carter Verhaeghe scored in the extra frame to earn the Panthers first overtime win of the campaign.
