NHL Morning Skate – Dec. 21, 2021

Jason Robertson extended his home point streak to eight games as the Stars earned their NHL-leading 10th home win dating to Nov. 10. * The NHL and NHLPA agreed to begin the Holiday Break after Tuesday’s games. ROBERTSON, SEGUIN HELP STARS STAY HOT AT AMERICAN AIRLINES CENTER
Jason Robertson (0-2—2) collected two assists to extend his home point streak to eight games (4-7—11) and Tyler Seguin notched one of the Stars’ seven goals as Dallas improved to 9-1-0 in their last 10 home games dating to Nov. 16. 

* Robertson recorded his 19th career multi-point outing. Since he entered the NHL in 2019-20, only two players have more with the StarsRoope Hintz (23) and Joe Pavelski (22). 

* Dallas owns a 30-8-4 all-time record against Minnesota at American Airlines Center. The Stars’ .714 home win percentage against the Wild is their second-best mark against any franchise, trailing only their record against the Ducks (46-12-6, .719 W%).

KAPRIZOV SETS WILD BENCHMARK WITH THREE-POINT OUTING

Kirill Kaprizov led the Wild with 1-2—3 Monday and boosted his 2021-22 totals to 12-24—36 (30 GP), surpassing Marian Gaborik’s franchise mark (18-16—34 in 30 GP) for the most points by a Wild skater through their first 30 games of a campaign.

* The performance marked Kaprizov’s fifth outing with at least three points this season – only Leon Draisaitl (10), Connor McDavid (6), Alex Ovechkin (6) and Nazem Kadri (6) have more.

Kaprizov, who ranks fifth in the NHL in points, is leading Minnesota by a 10-point margin over the team’s next-highest contributor, Ryan Hartman (14-12—26 in 30 GP). Only Ovechkin (22-25—47 in 31 GP) has a wider surplus (17) over his team’s second-highest scorer (Evgeny Kuznetsov: 9-21—30 in 28 GP).
