Minnesota Vikings Week 4 Game Release

Game Summary

The Minnesota Vikings (1-2) play their second home game in a row against the Cleveland Browns (2-1) at noon on Sunday, October 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The last time Minnesota played Cleveland was in 2017 at Twickenham Stadium in London, England. Cleveland Head Coach Kevin Stefanski will coach his first game as an NFL head coach in U.S. Bank Stadium after spending 14 seasons with the Vikings.

Minnesota captured its first win of the season in a 30-17 home victory against Seattle. Cleveland also registered a Week 3 victory, a 26-6 home win over Chicago.

In Week 3, QB Kirk Cousins started his 50th career game with the Vikings. His 26 wins is the most in team history among all QBs in their first 50 career starts with the franchise. Against Seattle, WR Justin Jefferson became the fastest Vikings player to 100 catches –
doing so in only 19 games. RB Alexander Mattison tied his career high of 112 rushing yards in a game, and TE Tyler Conklin set new career highs with 7 receptions and 70 receiving yards versus Seattle.

With his first sack in a Vikings uniform since 2019, DE Everson Griffen reached 75.5 career sacks as a Viking, becoming the seventh player to do so in team history. Griffen now has 81.5 sacks in his NFL career, ranking 12th among active defensive ends since 2010.
Former Vikings DT Kevin Williams will be inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony during Legends Weekend. Williams was a six-time Pro Bowler and five-time 1st-Team All-Pro.
