No official requests for roster changes have been submitted to Concacaf

SAN JOSE, Calif.  – San Jose Earthquakes forward Cade Cowell and New England Revolution defender Henry Kessler have been called to the U.S. Men’s National Team camp in Dallas by head coach Gregg Berhalter. The USMNT is currently competing in the Concacaf Gold Cup.

Nashville SC defender Walker Zimmerman has been ruled out with a hamstring strain. Per the amended tournament regulations, teams can replace injured players up to 24 hours prior to the quarterfinal. The replacement must come from the 60-player provisional roster.

At this point, no official requests for roster changes have been submitted to Concacaf.

The United States won Group A with a perfect 3-0-0 record following victories over Haiti (1-0), Martinique (6-1) and Canada (1-0). The U.S. will now face the runner-up in Group C, which will be decided tonight between Costa Rica and Jamaica, in the quarterfinals on Sunday, July 25 at AT&T Stadium.

Last Saturday, Cowell, 17, became the first player in Major League Soccer with at least four goals (4) and four assists (4) so far this season.
