DeJuan Jones Named to United States Men’s National Team Roster for January Preparation Camp

Revolution defender will join the USMNT for camp in Carson, California

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution defender DeJuan Jones has been called into the United States Men’s National Team for its January Preparation Camp in Carson, California. The outside back will train with the United States before USMNT Interim Head Coach Anthony Hudson selects his final roster for upcoming friendly matches against Serbia (Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Banc of California Stadium) and Colombia (Saturday, Jan. 28 at Dignity Health Sports Park).

This marks the second international call-up for Jones, who is set to begin his fifth MLS season with New England. Selected 11th overall in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, Jones has registered 100 league appearances, including 87 starts, with five goals scored and 13 assists. The Lansing, Michigan native distributed seven assists last season, setting a club record for assists by a defender, shared with teammate Brandon Bye. The 25-year-old also set career-high marks in starts (31) and minutes played (2,470) last season. In 2021, Jones finished fifth in MLS Defender of the Year voting after helping New England win its first Supporters’ Shield in club history. Jones owns six additional appearances, all starts, in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
