OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated outfielder Seth Brown from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Jordan Diaz to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.
Brown was batting .200 with a home run and two RBI in eight games when he was placed on the injured list April 10 retroactive to April 9 with a strained left oblique. He was assigned to Las Vegas on a rehab assignment on May 13 and went 1-for-2 in one game before he was moved to Single-A Stockton on May 17. Brown went 4-for-11 in three games with the Ports and batted .385 with a walk in four games overall.
Diaz was recalled from Las Vegas on April 19 and was hitting .217 with four home runs and eight RBI in 24 games with the A’s. He is also hitting .265 with one RBI in 15 games with the Aviators.
