A’s reinstate INF/OF Pinder from Covid-19 IL; return INF Lopes to Las Vegas

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated infielder/outfielder Chad Pinder from the Covid-19 injured list and returned infielder Christian Lopes to Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Pinder was on the A’s Opening Day roster and was hitting .237 with two home runs and six RBI in 10 games when he was placed on the Covid-19 IL April 18.

Lopes was added to the A’s roster as a substitute player when Pinder went on the IL and went 0-for-9 with a walk in four games in his Major League debut.
