A’s recall LHP Zach Logue from Las Vegas as 27th man for doubleheader

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics recalled left-handed pitcher Zach Logue from Triple-A Las Vegas as the 27th man for the doubleheader, the club announced today.

Logue joins the A’s for the fifth time this year and is 3-4 with a 5.16 ERA in seven games, including six starts. His most recent stay lasted one day as he was recalled from Las Vegas on July 9, started and won that day against Houston, and was optioned back to Triple-A the next day. The 26-year-old left-hander is 1-2 with a 9.75 ERA in three starts over his last two stints (May 20-28, July 9) after going 2-2 with a 2.04 ERA in four games, three starts, over his first two (April 15-19, May 6-17). Logue is also 3-2 with a 5.17 ERA, .317 opponents batting average and.998 OPS in 11 starts with Triple-A Las Vegas.
