Average Minute Audience on NFL & Yahoo Sports Platforms Hits 542K – Highest Ever for NFL Network Exclusive ‘Thursday Night Football’ Game

 

Total viewership for the Week 4 Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum game featuring the Cincinnati Bengals’ 24-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars was 8.5 million viewers (TV + Digital) – topping the Week 2 and Week 3 Thursday Night Football games this season to make it NFL Network’s most-watched exclusive Thursday Night Football game since 2018 (New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns, 2018 Week 3).

The 8.5 million viewers for Jaguars-Bengals on TV and Digital is up +47% versus last year’s Week 4 Thursday Night Football matchup between the Denver Broncos and New York Jets (5.8 million) and up +36% vs. the 2020 NFL Network exclusive Thursday Night Football three-game average (6.3 million P2+). Jaguars-Bengals was television’s most-watched telecast of the day.

NFL Network averaged 8.1 million viewers TV+Digital for the three exclusive Thursday Night Football games this season – the highest since 2018, and up +29% vs. 2020 and up +18% vs. 2019.

Digital streaming across NFL digital platforms, Jaguars and Bengals mobile properties, and Yahoo Sports mobile properties delivered an average minute audience of 542K – the highest digital average minute audience ever for an NFL Network exclusive Thursday Night Football game, surpassing the Week 2 matchup between the New York Giants and Washington Football Team earlier this season (533K).

The 2021 Thursday Night Football Presented by Bud Light Platinum season continues Thursday, October 7 and moves to FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video when quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams travel to face quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West rivalry game. Pregame coverage on NFL Network begins with TNF First Look at 3:00 PM ET, followed by NFL GameDay Kickoff at 6:00 PM ET. At 7:30 PM ETFOX NFL Thursday airs on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime Video.
