- After SD’s off day on Thursday, they’ll play a 3-game set in Arizona against the D-Backs…when they begin their series @ AZ on Friday, it’ll be the start of playing 13 games in 13 days.

- Last year, the Padres led the NL in extra-inning wins (12) and in 1-run wins (30), and there have been just 2 instances in MLB history to have gone from leading either the NL or AL in both wins in 1-run and extra-inning games and had the fewest in their league the next season: the 1933-34 Washington Senators and the 1918-19 Senators.
