GAME 90 RECAP: The Phillies opened the second half with an 8-3 loss to the San Diego Padres on Fireworks Night at Citizens Bank Park … Starter Cristopher Sanchez (L, 0-3) went 5.0 innings and allowed 3 runs on 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts … The Padres hit 4 home runs in the game and led 8-1 through the top of the 9th … The Phillies tried to mount a rally, they eventually had Bryce Harper in the on deck circle as the tying run after scoring twice in the 9th as 8 batters came to the plate.
