TONIGHT’S GAME
The Capitals host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday at Capital One Arena for the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season. Washington is 3-0-0 against Columbus, winning all three games by a combined score of 11-5. The Capitals will look to sweep the season series with the Blue Jackets for the first time since the formation of the Metropolitan Division in 2013-14. The Capitals defeated the Blue Jackets 6-2 on Jan. 5 in Columbus, powered by a four-goal second period. On Jan. 8 at Capital One Arena, Nicklas Backstrom and Tom Wilson made their season debuts and Darcy Kuemper stopped all 38 shots faced in a 1-0 Washington win.
