CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have recalled right-handed pitcher Zack Burdi from Class AAA Charlotte to serve as the 27th man for today’s straight doubleheader vs. Baltimore.
Burdi, 26, is 0-1 with a 4.26 ERA (3 ER/6.1 IP) and 11 strikeouts in five relief appearances with Charlotte this season.
He made his only appearance with the White Sox this season on April 19 at Boston and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits with three strikeouts in 3.0 IP.
