The Astros pitched the third no-hitter in Postseason history, second no-hitter in World Series history and first combined no-hitter in Postseason history (see chart below)…combining regular season and Postseason, the Astros have 15 no-hitters in franchise history and four combined no-hitters: tonight, June 25, 2022 at NYY (Cristian Javier start), Aug 3, 2019 vs. SEA (Aaron Sanchez start) and June 11, 2003 at NYY (Roy Oswalt start)…the Astros pitched a World Series shutout for the first time in franchise history and a Postseason shutout for the 10th time.

• The Astros took the lead after a hit batter and 2-run double with the bases loaded…they hit .342/.390/.625 (41-for-120) with the bases loaded during the regular season and the .625 SLG led the Majors ahead of the Yankees (.593).

• According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Astros are the third team in World Series history to take a 5-run lead in three of the first 4 games in a Fall Classic…the previous two (1989 Athletics, 1937 Yankees) both won the World Series.
