The Dallas Wings will look to carry some momentum from their best defensive performance of the season when they host the Washington Mystics on Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas.

The Wings (7-8) head home after a 77-62 win in Phoenix on Tuesday and a needed four-day break. The victory over the reeling Mercury snapped a two-game losing streak, both losses coming at Los Angeles.

Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 23 points in the win over Phoenix, with Natasha Howard adding 19 and 10 rebounds, and Satou Sabally scoring 18 points and taking a game-high 12 boards.

Dallas allowed the Mercury just two points over the final 8:09 of the game and a season-low 62 points.

Washington (9-6) enters on the heels of a 94-89 loss in Atlanta on Friday in the second of a home-and-home against the Dream. The Mystics have dropped two of their past three after a three-game winning streak.

Elena Delle Donne’s 31 points led the Mystics in Friday’s loss, with Brittney Sykes and Natasha Cloud adding 15 points each and Ariel Atkins hitting for 10. Washington was just 3 of 18 from 3-point range.

Delle Donne left Friday’s game with a sprained ankle and had to be helped off the court. Mystics coach Eric Thibault said his star forward will undergo further testing this weekend and was unclear how long she may be sidelined.

The Mystics won the first meeting between the teams by a point in the nation’s Capital on June 2.
