The Atlanta Dream look to build on their road success when they travel to face the Dallas Wings on Tuesday at Arlington, Texas.
The Wings took the first meeting, defeating the Dream 85-78 in the season opener for each club. It remains Atlanta’s only road loss of the season.
Since then, the Dream (5-5) have won four straight road games, including a 100-94 victory at Indiana on Sunday. Allisha Gray racked up 25 points, including 21 in the second half, and Rhyne Howard added 21 points.
Cheyenne Parker had 15 points and Nia Coffey scored 11 for Atlanta in the victory. The Dream never trailed, led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter, and shot 56.1 percent from the floor to produce their third consecutive win, all on the road.
Tuesday’s matchup is between teams heading in opposite directions.
The Wings fell 109-103 at home to Seattle on Saturday. Dallas (5-6) fell for the third straight game despite a career-high 41 points from Arike Ogunbowale, 14 of which came in the game’s final four minutes.
The Wings also got 25 points from Satou Sabally, a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double by Natasha Howard and 15 points from Crystal Dangerfield. The loss featured 18 lead changes and eight ties.
After Tuesday’s game the Wings play four of their next five on the road.
