CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have reinstated right-handed pitcher Lance Lynn from the Bereavement List and have optioned right-hander Jimmy Lambert to Class AAA Charlotte.
Lynn, 36, was placed on the Bereavement List on Monday, one day after matching the White Sox record with 16 strikeouts over 7.0 IP in a loss at Seattle. He is 4-8 with a 6.51 ERA (61 ER/84.1 IP) and 102 strikeouts (career-best 10.89 per 9.0 IP) over 15 starts this season, his third with the Sox.
Lambert, 28, is 2-1 with a 6.85 ERA (17 ER/22.1 IP) and 25 strikeouts over 24 appearances (one start) with the Sox this season.
