NEW YORK – Prior to Game 1 of today’s doubleheader at the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox reinstated left-handed pitcher Aaron Bummer from the 15-day injured list to serve as the 27th player for today’s games.
Bummer has been on the injured list since May 9 (retroactive to May 7) with a right knee strain. He is 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA (6 ER/11.0 IP), 15 strikeouts and seven holds over 12 appearances this season.
