CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. the Cleveland Guardians, the Chicago White Sox recalled left-hander Sammy Peralta from Class AAA Charlotte.
Peralta is 3-5 with a 5.34 ERA (35 ER/59.0 IP) and 60 strikeouts in 25 appearances (six starts) with Charlotte this season. He is limiting left-handers to a .195/.298/.341 (16-82) slash line with the Knights. Peralta made his major-league debut with the White Sox on May 4 vs. Minnesota, allowing two runs in 0.2 IP.
