DENVER – Prior to tonight’s series opener at Colorado, the Chicago White Sox placed outfielder/designated hitter Eloy Jiménez on the Paternity List and recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa from Class AAA Charlotte.
Sosa, 23, is batting .271/.313/.507 (78-288) with 17 doubles, 17 home runs and 44 RBI in 71 games with Charlotte this season. He owns a .132 (9-68) average with three doubles, one homer and three RBI in 22 games over two stints with Chicago in 2023.
Jiménez, 26, is hitting .277/.320/.452 (89-321) with 14 doubles, 14 home runs and 50 RBI in 84 games this season, his fifth with the White Sox.
